The opportunity

Infravision is growing and requires the services of a Qualified Electrical lines worker to join the Infravision team to deliver work throughout Australia, to work with our growing operations team and help shape the future of transmission construction through cutting-edge drone technology.

What you’ll do

  • Installing conductors and aerial equipment, and underground cables and equipment
  • Installing and maintaining equipment associated with electrical supply
  • Attending to electrical breakdown and emergencies
  • Maintaining poles and associated hardware, and continuity of electrical supply
  • Conducting routine maintenance on the aerial and underground electricity supply network
  • Conducting low-voltage switching operations
  • Fitting pole hardware and crossarms
  • Preparing low- and high-voltage cable joints and cable terminations while connecting and installing electrical equipment and overhead lines
  • Using heavy plant equipment such as elevated work platforms and portable equipment.
  • May undertake substation installation and maintenance, and specialised testing and installation.
  • Supervise and step up as required

What we are looking for

  • Growth-minded: Experienced in their speciality field but hungry for continuous learning and improvement
  • Industry-seasoned: has already spent time supporting the electric power / cleantech industries
  • Self-starter: willing to dig into new concepts, make recommendations with limited information, and be highly effective with minimal direction and supervision
  • Systems thinker: a love for efficiency, ensuring that processes work well together to streamline commercial operations
  • Focused: we are a small team with many competing priorities. To be effective in this role you need to be able to isolate where you can have the greatest impact and rigorously prioritize.
  • Willingness to travel: we operate throughout the United States, Canada, India and Australia and employees are required to travel from time to time.
