What you’ll do
Reporting to the Construction Manager, Australia, your responsibilities include:
Field / Mobilised / Project Operations
- Lead and supervise RPAS Construction Stringing Teams to complete on site works, including:
- Planning, delivering and regular reporting on project activities
- WHSE compliance
- Risk and safety management
- Mentoring and guidance of team members
- Plan, coordinate and oversee the execution of flying activities in accordance with CASA regulations, Infravision policies, manuals and procedures.
- Communicate effectively to manage onsite client facing duties, including works planning and reporting, site documentation and relationship management.
- Communicate effectively with key internal stakeholders on project status and developments
- Ensure lessons learnt are communicated to the Infravision management team to guarantee the continuous improvement of Infravision products and processes.
- Assist other Infravision business departments in reaching their goals such as international operational teams.
Office Based Operations
- Develop, review, amend and audit Infravision operational documentation
- Conduct training, proficiency and currency activities to develop or maintain required competencies
- Plan and prepare for upcoming projects, including task allocation, equipment preparation and construction workshops
- Represent Infravision at client, industry or delegated engagements as required
- Facilitate Operations team employee performance management and skills development frameworks
Research and Development
- Conduct home or field based operations in support of key developments of Infravision products and processes
- Provide SME advice to the R&D team
- Continuously improve Infravision systems and processes
- Coordinate with the Aviation Department to research, investigate and develop aviation centric products or processes
- Coordinate with the Engineering/Technology Department to research, investigate and develop engineer centric products or processes
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications, Experience and Values
- Demonstrated minimum of 5 years’ construction Site Supervisor.
- Demonstrated experience in leading construction teams of greater than ten people.
- Strong experience in construction work, preferably in the transmission / distribution sector.
- Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and explain construction methods and plans.
- Competent application of computer software such as MS Office, including MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Project and equivalent G-Suite
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge in the application of WHS and environmental legislation relative to transmission industry construction activities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively in a diverse team environment.
- Willingness to assist in and promote the implementation of innovative solutions and organisational change.
- WHS Construction White Card
- High Risk Work Licence classes DG and RB (dogging and basic rigging).
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR qualifications.
Highly Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of appropriate AQF qualification at Certificate 3 level or higher (ESI - Transmission, Project Management etc.)
- Certificate IV in WHS and/or Training and Assessing.
- High Risk Work Licences such as Crane (CV, C6, C0 etc.), Forklift (LF), Elevated Work Platform (WP).
- Other recognised qualifications, such as; Working at Heights, Tower Rescue, Pole Top Rescue, EWP Rescue and EWP Controlled Descent
- Heavy Vehicle driving licence (LR, MR, HR).
- Demonstrated experience working with Remote Piloted Aircraft Systems or similar field robotics systems.
Company Expectations

- Maintain a current driver’s license with no restrictions
- Maintain a current passport with no restrictions
- Able to enthusiastically operate in construction environments in a range of conditions to deliver field services
- Ability and willingness to travel both domestically and occasionally internationally
- Ability and willingness to work DIDO/FIFO as required for project related works (a typically recurring monthly working roster could be 21 days on site, 7 days at home)
- Willing and able to complete an Australian Police background check
- Ability to comply with Infravision’s Drug and Alcohol Policy
- A commitment to demonstrating and operating to the highest level of safety and quality
