The Role
As the Payroll and Accounts Payable Coordinator, you will be crucial to the companies financial operations, ensuring the seamless execution of payroll for all group companies. Your expertise will keep us ahead of the curve on legislative developments, advising management and ensuring compliance across the board. You'll also be the key player in providing accurate data for monthly payroll journals and leading the in-sourcing of payroll functions to boost efficiency. In Accounts Payable, you'll promptly process and post supplier invoices, manage inboxes, and keep our financial operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
Comprehensive Payroll Management:
- Complete payroll process for all group companies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in payroll execution.
- Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related queries from employees across the group.
Pension Scheme Administration:
- Manage and administer company pension schemes.
- Oversee and ensure the accuracy of pension payment transactions.
Legislative Compliance and Advisory:
- Stay updated on relevant legislative developments such as Working Time Regulations, Agency Workers Regulations, Real Time Information, etc.
- Advise management on these developments and assist in ensuring company-wide compliance.
Financial Support and Reporting:
- Collaborate with the finance team to provide accurate data for posting monthly payroll journals.
- Support the in-sourcing of payroll functions for group companies to optimize efficiency.
Accounts Payable Management:
- Process supplier invoices promptly and ensure accurate posting.
- Maintain and manage Accounts Payable inboxes, ensuring timely responses and resolution of queries.
Ad-hoc Duties:
- Perform various ad-hoc duties as required.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in payroll management.
- Expertise: Demonstrated ability to own and manage the payroll function independently.
- Knowledge: Proficiency in handling complex payroll topics and challenges effectively.
- Accuracy: Strong attention to detail with a track record of ensuring accurate payroll processing.
- Compliance: Thorough understanding of payroll legislation and regulations.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively address queries and interact with stakeholders.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and across departments.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions in payroll operations.
- Adaptability: Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Extra Credit:
- Payroll Qualifications: Preferably certified with CIPP (Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals) or equivalent.
- Previous experience with invoice OCR software such as Dext, Datamolino, ApprovalMax or equivalent is a plus
Our Recruitment Process:
- Initial Call: Start with an introductory call with our Junior Talent Acquisition Specialist to discuss the role and your potential fit. (30 mins)
- Stakeholder Interview: Engage in a detailed discussion about your past experiences with our Head of Finance.
- Task Stage: You will given 24 hours to complete a task that you will present during your final stage interview.
- Final Stage: Present a task to our Senior Management Accountant and Head of Finance.
