Role Description:

The Development Test group, part of Engineering within the Technology org at Form, is instrumental in providing battery testing platforms and services across all of Form's facilities and is invaluable in delivering and scaling our technology.

Form Energy is hiring a Manager of Test Infrastructure in Somerville, MA. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Test Operations, you lead a team of multidisciplinary engineers for cell cycling test system development and deployment efforts and, will collaborate and interface with partner teams, cell and component design teams, product teams, program management, and test engineering to roadmap cell cycling capabilities to deliver critical test system capabilities enabling design verification plans and meet the vision, driving to commercialize our ground-breaking iron-air chemistry.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and grow a world-class, multidisciplinary engineering team that delivers critical test systems enabling the advancement of Form Energy’s cell and product development efforts

  • Collaborate with partner teams to create and socialize your vision of the future of Massachusetts battery testing and organize the team to make it happen

  • Develop, implement, and enforce our internal test system development process through robust engineering best practices from requirements to final verification

  • Support, develop, and manage, test system development and deployment plans while fostering the growth of Form’s engineers through live coaching, technical training, review processes, and informal support

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or equivalent field

  • 5 plus years of management experience with multidisciplinary development teams (5-15 mechanical, electrical, software, and systems engineers)

  • 10 plus years of experience working in test system design and development, preferably in electrochemical device development or manufacturing

  • Well-developed collaboration, effective delegation, leadership, and mentoring skills along with technical abilities and a culture addition

  • A passion for contributing to solving complex problems, a desire to make an impact, and the ability to lead from the front and the back
