Role Overview:
The Head of Finance will oversee and manage all financial operations for the organization, including strategic financial planning, reporting, budgeting, treasury, compliance, and risk management. This leadership role requires a forward-thinking individual with deep knowledge of international finance and accounting practices, particularly in a multi-entity, global structure. The Head of Finance will act as a key business partner to the Finance Controller and CFO, driving financial strategy and decision-making across global operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
Partner with the Finance Controller and CFO to shape and execute the company’s financial strategy.
- Financial Operations & Controls:
Oversee accounting, taxation, financial reporting, and compliance functions across all entities.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes and financial statements.
Establish and maintain robust financial control systems and governance frameworks.
- Global Consolidation & Reporting:
Manage global consolidation of financials across all subsidiaries and legal entities.
Oversee intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and reporting under IFRS or local GAAP.
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Budgeting & Forecasting:
Drive the global budgeting and forecasting process in alignment with strategic objectives.
Perform variance analysis and identify trends to support business performance.
- Team Management:
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
Build scalable processes to support the company’s growth and expansion across geographies.
- Audit, Tax & Compliance:
Manage statutory audits across jurisdictions and act as the primary liaison with external auditors.
Ensure tax compliance globally and manage relationships with consultants and regulators.
Drive adherence to legal, regulatory, and reporting obligations.
- Systems & Process Improvement:
Implement financial systems and automation tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate with IT and business units to ensure data integrity and digital enablement.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Experience in managing multi-entity, cross-border financial structures.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel).
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex audits and compliance matters across jurisdictions.
Education and Experience:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
- 8-10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience working in a global or high-growth technology/SaaS organization is preferred.
- Proven experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
