Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform emissions testing on natural gas (primary) engines.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance on 400 kW gensets.
  • Be proficient utilizing, calibrating, and troubleshooting various emissions testing devices.
  • Perform periodic inspections to identify maintenance needs.
  • Perform skilled repairs of Volvo Penta Diesel Engines (16 L), Power Solutions International (21.9 L) and Marathon generator ends, as well as various voltage control and synchronizing equipment.
  • Be proficient at learning and utilizing manufacturer specific software to troubleshoot and diagnose engine and control system problems.
  • Facilitate technical support and liaison with equipment manufacturers.
  • Perform scheduled, preventive, or predictive generator maintenance tasks.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair tasks.
  • Work in potentially confined areas of high heat and humidity, and cold.
  • Follow company process and procedures for verbal/written communications.
  • Ensure Safe Operation of electrical equipment by enforcing company and industry standards. Work in an outdoor environment throughout the year.

  • Is familiar with or willing to learn and utilize current technology for communication, documentation, and research used by Enchanted Rock.
  • Complete environmental procedure reviews to maintain compliance with regulations and accuracy with current practices; develop new environmental procedures to meet the current needs of the power generation equipment.
  • Supports environmental aspects of company operations, such as, compliance, reporting, monitoring, remediation, and environmental permitting functions.
  • Safely prepare, operate, and maintain a motor vehicle for purposes of conducting company business.
  • Additional responsibilities may be added at the direction of Company’s management.

Requirements

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Experience – at least 1 Year Mechanical, Electrical, or Testing
  • Education Level - College, Technical training or Equivalent Training (i.e. Military)
  • Attention to Detail- Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attention to detail
  • Computer skills- Uses computers, software applications, databases and automated systems to accomplish work
  • Must be able to be on your feet for multiple hours a day.
  • Lifting: Occasional need to lift 50 lbs safely.
  • Climbing: Constant use of extension ladder.
  • Level Reaching: Constant need to extend hands and arms in any direction.
  • Integrity- Work efficiently and effectively when with or without supervision.
