Key Responsibilities:
- Engineering Design Support: Assist Electrical Engineers with project tasks.
- Review / Develop project single line diagrams and equipment layouts.
- Assist reviewing design documents and technical specifications
- Perform equipment sizing and provide guidance for procurement.
- Evaluation of vendor drawings for transformers, switchgear, and switchboards.
- Participation in system integration of electrical equipment; transformers, switchgear, and generators.
- Support engineers in testing industrial power system equipment (breakers, switchgear, and transfer switches).
- Other responsibilities as directed by supervisor.
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
- 0-1 year of professional, internship, or related experience.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program (Junior or Senior classification preferred.) Electrical engineering degree.
- Basic understanding of three-phase power circuits and power systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with basic project management concepts or interest in the renewable energy/utilities sector.
- Other Requirements: Ability to work in a hybrid environment and commute to the office as scheduled.

- Strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and a proactive "problem-solver" mindset.
- High attention to detail, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a strong sense of personal accountability.
- Willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
- Self-motivated person who is excited about working in a team environment.
- Ability to understand basic single line diagrams and power flow.
- Ability to understand / develop One Line Diagram and do basic calculations relating to transformers, switchgear, and generators.

This is a paid, temporary summer internship. Conversion to full-time employment is not guaranteed and will be evaluated based on intern performance, business needs, and open positions at the conclusion of the program.
This position will report to the Microgrid Engineering Manager and will last for the duration of June-August 2026. Interns are required to be eligible to work full-time (40 hours). This internship is based out of our headquarters in Houston, Texas.
