Key Responsibilities:
- Own deal coordination: track open items, deadlines, and owners; follow up with internal stakeholders to keep transactions moving.
- Support pricing deliverables for customer proposals (Excel-based models): gather inputs, update assumptions, run sensitivity cases, and QA outputs.
- Maintain and improve pricing/structuring trackers (deal pipeline, pricing inputs, contract status, due diligence checklist) and keep documentation organized.
- Assist Structuring with contract due diligence: review and summarize key commercial terms (e.g., term, pricing, indexation/escalation, performance guarantees, fuel and pass-throughs, termination rights, credit/security, and risk allocations).
- Coordinate redlines and comments across Legal, Engineering, Operations, Tax, and Finance; consolidate feedback into clean, decision-ready summaries.
- Prepare executive-ready materials (one-page term summaries, risk/issue logs, and slide updates) for internal deal reviews and approvals.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to support deal decisions (customer comparisons, market/utility rate research, historical deal terms, and cost benchmarking).
- Help maintain data room / diligence packages: ensure latest versions, consistent naming, and timely distribution to stakeholders.
- Other responsibilities as directed by supervisor.
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (rising junior/senior preferred).
- 0+ years required; prior internship, co-op, or project experience in analytics, finance, energy, consulting, or contracting is a plus.
- Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, basic modeling); ability to learn and work with structured templates quickly.
- Ability to read and synthesize contract language and translate it into clear summaries and action items.
- Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable following up and coordinating across multiple teams.
- High attention to detail, strong organization, and a bias for action (can 'chase' items to closure).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interest or coursework in project finance, energy markets, accounting, or commercial contracting; familiarity with power/energy concepts is helpful.
- Experience building or reviewing models in Excel; exposure to PowerPoint and presenting analysis is a plus.
- Familiarity with CRM/deal tracking tools (e.g., Salesforce) and document management best practices.

This is a paid, temporary summer internship. Conversion to full-time employment is not guaranteed and will be evaluated based on intern performance, business needs, and open positions at the conclusion of the program.
This position will report to the Pricing Director and will last for the duration of June-August 2026. Interns are required to be eligible to work full-time (40 hours). This internship is based out of our headquarters in Houston, Texas.
