What you’ll do…

The Vice President, QHSE is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Enchanted Rock’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental strategy to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and company policies. This leader drives a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and risk reduction, ensuring that quality, safety, and environmental principles are embedded into every aspect of company operations, from engineering and manufacturing to field deployment and customer solutions.

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute Enchanted Rock’s QHSE vision, policies, and objectives in alignment with corporate strategy and operational goals.
  • Provide executive oversight and guidance to ensure all business units meet internal and external quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Quality Management

  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Ensure consistent product and service quality through audits, corrective/preventive actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage quality inspectors in charge of inspection of incoming components, field inspection of vendors, and final factory acceptance test of generators.
  • Establish KPIs and track trends to continuously improve quality performance and customer satisfaction.

Health & Safety Management

  • Lead programs to identify, assess, and mitigate workplace risks.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, DOT, and other applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations.
  • Foster a proactive safety culture through training, engagement, and accountability at all levels.

Environmental Stewardship

  • Oversee environmental programs, ensuring compliance with EPA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the team performing emissions tests, filing air permits, and consulting with customers about meeting various federal, state, and local emission standards.
  • Develop sustainability initiatives to reduce emissions, waste, and energy consumption.
  • Ensure proper reporting and response to environmental incidents.

Compliance & Auditing

  • Manage external audits, inspections, and regulatory assessments, ensuring timely corrective actions.
  • Maintain and advance ISO certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 45001) and other relevant QHSE standards.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and develop QHSE teams across engineering, operations, and field functions.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, HR, and executive leadership to embed QHSE into business processes.
  • Communicate QHSE performance, initiatives, and strategy to the COO, executive team, and key stakeholders.

You’ll sweep us off our feet if you:

  • Have prior QHSE leadership in distributed energy, microgrids, power generation, or large field installation programs.
  • Can translate technical HSE risk into operational controls and measurable business outcomes.
  • Have led cross-company cultural change programs to improve safety and quality performance.
Requirements

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Quality Management or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive QHSE leadership experience in energy, utilities, manufacturing, or oil & gas, including multi-site operations.
  • Deep understanding of quality systems (ISO, TQM, Six Sigma) and HSE regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, ISO 45001, etc.)
  • Proven expertise in Quality Management Systems, regulatory compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong leadership experience managing and developing QHSE professionals and cross-functional teams.
  • Physical requirements and working conditions: Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry files weighing up to 20 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. Position requires the ability to work under pressure and maintain tight deadlines.?
