What you’ll do…
The Supplier Quality Auditor is a member of the Quality Team, reporting to the Quality Director. This position is responsible for verifying equipment quality and supplier compliance through on-site inspections, Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), and supplier audits, ensuring that all supplied components and field installations meet Enchanted Rock’s quality, safety, and performance standards.
Key responsibilities include documenting and reporting inspection and audit results, identifying findings, and supporting follow-up actions to ensure closure. The Quality Auditor will play an active role in driving continuous improvement across supplier quality and operational site performance.
- Witnessing supplier Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) for custom designed electrical equipment, in accordance with Enchanted Rock and customer requirements.
- Conducting On-site Supplier Inspections at supplier facilities to verify equipment builds, assemblies, documentation compliance and adherence to delivery schedule.
- Reviewing supplier control plans, inspection records, and corrective actions to ensure robust quality controls.
- Conducting On-site Quality Audits at operating microgrid locations to verify conformance to company and regulatory standards (NEC, NFPA, ASME, OSHA).
- Preparing and issuing inspection and audit reports, summarizing findings, risks, and follow-up actions.
You’ll sweep us off our feet if you:
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills to interface with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
- Have problem-solving mindset with ability to act independently and represent the company professionally.
- Have knowledge of Root Cause Analysis tools, PPAP and FAT processes.
What you’ll need:
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing inspection and/or field auditing, preferably in power generation, electrical equipment, or similar industries.
- Experience with power generation systems and electrical equipment (switchgear, switchboards, transformers, generators).
- Familiarity with quality management systems and electrical equipment standards (UL, NEC, NFPA, ASME).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to travel extensively for supplier visits and site audits.
- Physical requirements and working conditions: Must possess mobility to work in a manufacturing environment. Standing: Frequent - While performing inspection activities in the manufacturing areas and on microgrid sites. Walking: Frequent - Moving on foot while working in the manufacturing areas and on microgrid sites. Level Reaching: Occasional – as needed, during inspection activities and site audits.
