What you’ll do…

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Material Demand Planner to join our Supply Chain team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing accurate material forecasts, ensuring on-time availability of components, and optimizing inventory to support production targets. This role requires cross-functional collaboration, strong data analysis, and the ability to balance cost, service, and supply risk.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Collaborating with Production to ensure that material availability aligns with production schedules, preventing delays and disruptions to manufacturing operations.
  • Analyzing demand forecasts and production schedules to determine the specific quantities and types of materials required.
  • Utilizing the ERP/MRP system to track inventory, forecast needs, and generate reports for internal stakeholders, as needed.
  • Working closely with the Procurement team to communicate material delivery schedules to ensure timely and reliable delivery of components/materials from suppliers.
  • Actively participating in improving material planning processes and contributing to cost reduction initiatives.

You’ll sweep us off our feet if you:

  • Are experienced with ERP/MRP systems and other inventory management software.
  • Are detail and process oriented.
  • Demonstrate knowledge about quality assurance and understand the concept of corrective actions and root cause analysis.
  • Have experience with Quality Management and Safety standards in production.
  • Have a track of developing quality control points and inspection plans in a product manufacturing environment.
  • Able to write quality control and testing standard work instructions.
  • Have the ability to interpret data, forecasts, and production plans.
  • Have experience managing complex material flow, maintaining accurate records, and consistently meeting deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Familiarity with master production schedules (MPS) and capacity planning.
Requirements

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in material or demand planning, ideally in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus.

Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry, vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
