Join our dynamic team at ecobee as our next Key Account Manager, Retail Sales, where you'll spearhead pivotal relationships with leading North American retailers.

How You'll Make an Impact

In this role, you'll craft and execute comprehensive account strategies, ensuring we meet and exceed our sales targets while embodying the essence of ecobee's brand and vision.

As the linchpin between ecobee and our retail partners, you'll serve as the primary point of contact, driving collaboration across various departments including finance, operations, marketing, and product development. We are seeking a visionary with a Challenger Sales mindset, someone who leads with insights, matches needs with solutions, and continually pushes boundaries to achieve mutual success.

Your contributions will extend far beyond mere sales figures. You'll shape the narrative of our partnerships, advocating for the voice of the customer internally, and ensuring ecobee remains at the forefront of the connected home space. From developing Joint Business Plans to negotiating trade funds, your analytical prowess and strategic acumen will be instrumental in driving our growth trajectory.

This role is open to either a Toronto, Ontario or Atlanta, Georgia based applicant.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

  • You have a degree in Business, an MBA would be an asset
  • Progressive sales experience in a customer facing environment working with national retailers in Canada and/or US
  • You have strong collaboration and teamwork skills and can work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ideally, you have experience in Consumer Electronics, IT or Telco account management
  • Data and numbers driven, you have experience with forecasting and P&L management
  • You take initiative, follow-through, and are detail oriented
  • You are self-motivated and comfortable within a startup and ever-changing environment
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, you are comfortable presenting and influencing people and processes
  • This role may require 10-15% travel
