General Foreman

We are looking for a General Foreman who, under limited supervision, will be able to effectively lead a team or several teams of crew members to complete projects on time and according to plan. You will be responsible for daily operations at several worksites to ensure the completion of projects safely and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Coordinating and communicating daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery, and personnel
• Delegating individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors in English and Spanish
• Emphasizing safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment while providing training on safety gear, helmets, and procedures
• Regularly reporting project status, work complete and work remaining to supervisors, site engineers, and other officials
• Resolving conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably
• Recruiting, hiring, training, managing, and mentoring employees and contractors
• Providing adequate resources and staffing to meet project schedules, laws, regulations, best practices, and safety needs
• Assisting in the tracking and developing of project budgets and quality standards for all sites
• Working closely with the executive team to carry out company initiatives and priorities

Requirements:

• Must have a total of 5 years of utility line experience
• Ability to speak English (Bi-lingual a plus)
• ISA Certified Arborist, ISA Certified Tree Worker, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional, preferred
• OSHA 30 and/or CTSP certification, preferred
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Foreman/Crew Leader
• Must have two years prior experience as a Journeyman Tree Trimmer, defined as: A person who has completed a minimum of 18 months of related training and on-the-job experience, is familiar with the special techniques and hazards involved in line clearance tree trimming operations, and upon successfully passing all the requirements of the Company Line Clearance Tree Trimmer Certification Program.
• Regular Travel is a must, clean driving record a must.
• Ability to effectively use a computer and reporting tools is required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
