Job Description
The WorkWave Team is looking for talented and experienced DevOps Engineers to join our team and play a key role in optimizing our infrastructure and deployment processes using tools such as AWS, Chef, Chocolatey (choco), Octopus, and TeamCity. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth functioning of our deployment process and driving efficiency. Our teams are a mix of technologists, product managers, software engineers, QA Engineers, UI/UX designers, TechOps, and DevOps, all working together to deliver our vision.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions on AWS cloud platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like TeamCity and Octopus Deploy for efficient and automated software delivery.
- Utilize configuration management tools such as Chef to automate the provisioning and configuration of servers and applications.
- Manage software packages and dependencies using Chocolatey (choco).
- Monitor AWS resources and application performance using appropriate tools and implement necessary optimizations.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
- Implement best practices for infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Evaluate new technologies and tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our DevOps processes.
- Create and maintain knowledge base documentation for infrastructure architecture, deployment processes, configurations, and procedures
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/ Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience in a DevOps or related role.
- Strong proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and IAM at an intermediate to expert level.
- Hands-on experience with configuration management tools such as Chef.
- Familiarity with package management tools such as Chocolatey (choco).
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as TeamCity and Octopus Deploy.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, ELK Stack.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience with agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban
