Job Description

The Client Services Partner (CSP) role is positioned within the IFS Global Services Presales function. This role serves as a key partner to our sales team and customers, supporting the sales team in packing, positioning and integrating services to an opportunity. The IFS services portfolio includes customer success, implementation and consulting delivery, cloud managed services, and support & maintenance. While the sales lead owns the overall customer relationship and enduring commercial responsibility, the CSP provides critical services presales guidance and advice.

Working with sales and delivery teams, the CSP establishes and shapes desired customer outcomes and designs executable offerings to deliver value across the customer lifecycle. This individual is responsible for shaping how our portfolio of service offerings is positioned and sold to customers. They play a vital role in the sales process, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to influence deals internally. CSPs report to a regional team with a primary focus on a defined geographic territory.

Throughout the sales cycle, the CSP is active from shaping the opportunity to closing the deal, always working in partnership with sales team. Key responsibilities include facilitating customer requirements discovery workshops, pitching services aligned with customer objectives, qualifying deals, and setting the services sales strategy.

The CSP ensures that IFS proposals follow best practices and standards while minimizing risk to both the customer and IFS. Collaboration with many contributors is essential, but the CSP drives the services content of the bids, along with underpinning documentation, contracts, and Statements of Work (SOWs).

Additional Information

Essential:

  • 10+ years of experience in a customer facing and/or pre-sales role in – Customer success, professional services, management consultancy, project management; experience of customers undergoing transformation or digitalisation
  • Proficiency in Japanese and English
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills
  • Strategic planning skills
  • Thrives in a deadline-driven environment, working across multiple functions and geographical locations
  • Willing to travel throughout the region as required
  • Competency in using tools such as Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel, Power BI and Gen AI for data analysis, reporting, and presentation purposes.

Desirable:

  • University degree, or equivalent professional qualifications, in a field relevant for the functional area or responsibility
  • Experience from working with ERP, FSM or EAM applications
  • Experience of agile development methodology
  • Industry knowledge in one of IFS 6 core industries
  • Proven experience in Sales methodologies (SPIN/MEDDIC etc)
