Job Description

The WorkWave team is looking for skilled Software Engineers to build a team that will lead the backend development efforts of the RouteManager product. RouteManager is the routing solution developed by WorkWave. Our teams are a mix of technologists, product managers, development engineers, and UI/UX designers, all working together to deliver our vision. You will be a part of our WorkWave team, helping to develop & support the WorkWave products.

Responsibilities

• Develop features & services to support the field service industry
• Investigate and resolve defects, and refactor code to maintain quality
• Contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle
• Maintain high-quality software through unit test automation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, or Computer Science
• 3 to 7 years of experience with Java
• Proficiency in concurrent and multithreaded programming
• Proven track record in crafting efficient SQL queries and optimizing database performance
• Experience deploying web applications on AWS
• Proficient in working with UNIX environments
• Familiarity with Java Virtual Machine (JVM) Internals is a plus
• Understanding of fundamental networking principles is an advantage
• Familiarity with common software design patterns is a plus
• Knowledge of Agile software development processes and tools such as Jira
• Strong understanding of code complexity, efficiency, and performance optimization principles
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
