We (Celerity) are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Engineer with experience in Aveva software to join our team in supporting a gas utility. This role is ideal for someone who has foundational engineering knowledge and is eager to apply their skills to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of gas utility infrastructure. You will work under the supervision of engineers, contributing to the technical aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Aveva software to support the design and modeling of gas utility infrastructure, including pipelines, distribution networks, and related systems
  • Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings, schematics, and documentation for gas utility projects
  • Support the review and modification of design models to ensure accuracy and compliance with client specifications and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure the integration of Aveva outputs into broader engineering workflows and project deliverables
  • Perform technical analysis and calculations to support gas utility operations, including capacity planning, safety evaluations, and performance assessments
  • Provide technical support for the implementation and maintenance of gas utility systems, including the integration of new designs into existing infrastructure
  • Participate in project meetings and assist in coordination with cross-functional teams, including project managers, designers, and field personnel
  • Assist in preparing reports and documentation to communicate project progress, design revisions, and technical findings to stakeholders
  • Ensure all work complies with industry codes and safety regulations, including ASME, API, and local jurisdictional requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or a related discipline preferred)
  • Experience with Aveva software (Aveva E3D, Aveva Plant, or similar) is required
  • Strong understanding of gas utility systems and infrastructure is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of engineering principles, including fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and material science
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements in gas utility engineering
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, or other design tools is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

  • Applicant would be required to work in-person from an office in Downtown Los Angeles at least 3 days per week
