Be among the first 25 applicantsCelerity Consulting Group, LLC., is hiring a Lead Utility Designer in support of their Electric Distribution Overhead Estimating Program as it is growing. This is a full time, remote eligible role and is overtime eligible.The Lead Utility Designer will complete QA/QC of Estimates provided by their assigned Designers, including applications for service, operating diagrams, or general improvements by reviewing field and office information, and by consulting maps and operating records. Prepares, reviews and directs the preparation of engineering plans and cost estimates. This position makes engineering analyses of problems, assists in preparing budgets and cost estimates, and assigns specific work to estimating staff. Provides guidance and mentorship to estimating staff. The Lead Utility Designer will review Estimate documentation, Pole Loading Calculations, and Construction Drawings.Requirements:
High school degree and 2-4 years of recent relevant experience required. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred.The person in this position frequently communicates with staff/clients who have inquiries.Ability to move and/or carry boxes up to 40 pounds with or without assistancePrevious Utility Design ExperienceExperience using Pole Loading Software (OSMOSE O-Calc or Bentley Spida-Calc)Experience with Electric Distribution Construction StandardsExperience using CAD toolsThe hourly range for this role is $45 -$50 per hour and non-exempt with overtime pay opportunity.
