In line with our growth and commitment to reaching our results, we are on the lookout for an experienced Senior Supply Chain Operations Manager.

The selected candidate will play an essential role in advancing the company’s Supply Chain Operations at critical supply chain processes, including purchasing, inventory management, vendor selection, and goods distribution. Also, this professional will be responsible for cost reduction activities, contracts negotiations, commodity management and span of supply.

This position will report to the Vice President of Business Transformation and will lead the Operational Supply Chain teams globally. The Senior Supply Chain Operations Manager is a multi-site role responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the policies, procedures and practices across all manufacturing and R&D plants. You will lead a team of SCM professionals within our plant sites to ensure all activities such as training, compliance, and 6S, are effectively implemented. You will have the opportunity to work with global suppliers and collaborate with the supply chain strategy. You will also be responsible for further developing our SCM framework and data collection.

Responsibilities and Duties

Leadership:

  • Optimize processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Mentor and lead a team of supply chain professionals.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Develop and manage KPI’s of the department.

Procurement Management:

  • Lead procurement efforts, including sourcing, negotiation, and supplier relationships.
  • Obtain optimal contracts and pricing through vendor negotiations.

Logistics and Distribution:

  • Manage transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations.
  • Ensure timely product delivery while minimizing costs.

Inventory Control and Demand Planning:

  • Develop inventory strategies to optimize stock levels.
  • Collaborate with operations for accurate demand forecasting.
  • Maintain service levels to ensure there are no shortages and at the same time respect the company budget.

Risk Management and Compliance:

  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks (e.g., disruptions, compliance issues).
  • Ensure adherence to trade regulations and safety standards.

Technology Integration:

  • Evaluate and implement supply chain technologies (e.g., ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems).
  • Streamline processes through automation and data-driven insights.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical discipline and/or relevant Supply Chain experience
  • 8+ years of managerial experience in supply chain operations and/or procurement
  • Deep knowledge of supply chain functions and overall departmental operations

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience in successfully building processes from scratch and developing supply chain policies.
  • Experience in leading kaizen events and continuous improvement.
  • CPIM and/or CPM certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic business environment where processes need to be created and reviewed as the company grows.
  • Lean and/or 6Sigma certifications is a plus.

You will be working in a small team environment where teamwork and good relationships with other team members is critical. We operate pilot plants and labs and many of our staff members are required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and you should be prepared to do so as well when necessary.
