The Engineering Manager will lead and mentor a team of engineers responsible for designing, delivering, and supporting Verinext's solutions. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong technical background, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. The Engineering Manager will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, service delivery, and product management, to ensure our solutions meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Candidates should be located within commuting distance of Duluth, GA 30096 for onsite presence Monday-Thursday. While in-person collaboration is important, we understand that flexibility is also important, and we accommodate a person's occasional needs as they arise.

Requirements
Team Leadership and Development
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing engineering team
- Provide clear goals, expectations, and regular feedback to team members
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture aligned with Verinext's values
- Create development plans and opportunities for professional growth
- Drive the design, implementation, and optimization of Managed Services solutions, including networking, security, backup, and infrastructure automation
- Serve as an escalation point for technical issues and provide guidance to resolve complex challenges
- Ensure adherence to best practices and compliance with industry standards (e.g., ITIL, NIST)
- Oversee implementation of new tools and technologies to enhance service delivery and efficiency
- Work closely with sales and pre-sales teams to align technical strategies with customer needs
- Partner with service delivery managers to ensure smooth onboarding and service transitions
- Collaborate with product management to develop innovative service offerings and SKUs
- Serve as a key stakeholder in cross-functional initiatives and strategic projects
- Monitor and manage team performance metrics, ensuring SLAs and KPIs are consistently met
- Establish and improve engineering processes, documentation standards, and workflows
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and efficiency
- Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies
Education And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, networking, or managed services, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Strong expertise in IT infrastructure, networking, and cloud technologies (e.g., VMware, Azure, AWS)
- Strong expertise in data protection platforms (e.g., Commvault, Rubrik, Cohesity, Zerto)
- Proficiency in automation tools and scripting (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell, Python)
- Familiarity with ITSM platforms (e.g., Jira Service Management, ServiceNow, Kaseya)
- Experience with security standards and compliance frameworks
- Proven ability to build and lead diverse technical teams
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- ITIL v4 Foundation or higher
- Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CCNP, VCP, Azure/AWS certifications)
