This position will be within the Fluence Digital business unit, formed following Fluence’s acquisition of San Francisco-based start-up AMS. Fluence Digital’s IQ platform uses artificial intelligence, advanced price forecasting, portfolio optimization and market bidding to ensure energy storage and flexible generation assets are optimally participating in wholesale electricity markets.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
This position will be within the Fluence Digital business unit. Fluence Digital’s Mosaic platform uses artificial intelligence, advanced price forecasting, portfolio optimization and auto-bidding to ensure energy storage and renewable generation assets maximise revenues through their participation in the Australian National Electricity Market (NEM).
The Account Manager, Energy Markets will be an integral member of the Fluence Digital team, managing the end-to-end experience of our Australian customers utilizing our Mosaic platform. A successful Manager will ensure the proper onboarding and utilization of our SaaS platform, drive the performance and trading strategy of supported renewable and energy storage assets, and foster customer engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
The role will be based in Fluence’s Melbourne or Sydney offices (Australian-based remote candidates will be considered) and will report to the Australian Customer Success Director, with close interaction with the Product, Analytics, and Sales teams. The role will grow over time as Fluence scales its SaaS products to new customers, types of energy assets, and markets.
Key role responsibilities include:
Customer Onboarding
Project manage and proactively drive the customer onboarding process to effectively deploy our software to our customers’ renewable and energy storage assets
Lead training and other appropriate sessions with customer stakeholders in the energy trading and operations teams to ensure the customer is business-ready for our product
Account Management
Serve as primary customer relationship manager, overseeing the value delivered to customers
Own the ‘customer journey’ and drive customer retention by ensuring a seamless experience with the Fluence Digital platform and team, as well as by fostering partnerships with users built on trust and shared goals
Work with customers to support their energy trading strategies to maximize performance of their assets
Collaborate with the Commercial team to identify key buyers within a prospective customer’s organization, and to support upsell opportunities
Designing product solutions
Identify unmet needs and customer pain points through sound knowledge of our product and the market along with a deep understanding of our customers and their needs and feedback
Work closely with the Product Manager and team to translate customer needs and pain points into tangible business, product and operational requirements
Consistently represent the “voice of the customer” in our product development process
Must Haves:
5 or more years of work experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Commerce, Finance, Information Technology, or similar
Energy market operational or commercial experience is strongly preferred
Software company experience, and experience with business / enterprise customers, highly preferred
Ability to build and maintain robust and collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, across geographies, company and asset types, and use cases
Strong project management skills and attention to detail in delivering software system set-up and integration involving a cross-functional set of stakeholders and high expectations
