The field technical supervisor position will oversee a team of technicians, specialists, contractors, and support staff in support of Fluence’s installation, commissioning and startup efforts on its core technology. The supervisor will provide to the team the necessary technical oversight, training, tools, subject matter expertise, and enable growth and development opportunities. The supervisor will be an integral member of the Technical Services team, collaborating with engineers, project managers, company executives, and customer representatives, and contributing to solutions associated with Fluence products and projects within the Americas region.

• Supervise a team of full-time and contract technicians, spread across the Americas region, regularly and routinely evaluating for opportunities within assignments, workload, commitment, knowledge, and headcount.
• Mentor and train current and new technicians on the Fluence technology platforms. Support an unwavering commitment to safe work conditions and personal safety. Evaluate and educate all team members, identify and close knowledge gaps, create and drive initiatives to develop a lean, efficient workforce of Fluence technical systems experts.
• Utilize systems experience and knowledge to drive solutions and solve troubleshooting issues on installation and commissioning projects. Identify root causes, actively communicate between project teams, drive continuous improvement initiatives of Fluence products and projects.

What does the ideal candidate bring to Fluence?

  • 75% - 90% travel may be required, including overnight, weekends, and holidays. This encompasses 4-6 weeks on project site followed by 1 week at home.
  • Associates degree from an accredited institution AND / OR military experience AND/OR Minimum 3 years of experience with power distribution and field service with high school diploma
  • 2 to 3 years of experience supervising front-line skilled technicians and contractors.
  • Experience in testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems.
  • Experience performing power quality measurements, troubleshooting, and analysis.
  • Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Understanding of the company's and competitor's products and services.
  • Knowledge and practice of safety precautions related to working with electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide service and represent company interests in developing customer relationships to assure long-term customer satisfaction.

In Colorado and California, the standard pay range for this role is $85k - 110K annually. This range is specific to Colorado and California and may not be applicable in other locations.
