The Module Manufacturing and Design Specialist will ensure a smooth manufacturing launch of the Fluence Battery Module and System by supporting both the module engineering and manufacturing teams by troubleshooting issues arising during assembly. Our manufacturing site is located in Utah, must be open to travel to location as needed.

As the Module Manufacturing and Design Specialist at Fluence, you will:

  • Review and develop root-cause analysis for issues during module manufacturing launch.
  • Ensure corrective actions are implemented quickly with both the engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Create and maintain lessons learned and best practices.
  • Define and implement critical characteristic checks and tests through DFMEA.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of thermal and electrical components for electrical junction boxes and interconnect systems.
  • Experience with non-monte carlo and module stacks.
  • Experience releasing Module components.
  • Experience with the correlation of CAE, development activities, and verification plans. Ability to direct teams on boundary conditions and accurate assumptions.
  • Knowledge of coatings and associated specifications.
  • Cell welding.
  • Plastic injection molding.
  • Specify torque and angle of key critical joints.
  • Multiple years of experience with GD&T.
  • Creepage and clearance and direct insulation criteria.
  • Ability to build 1D models of cell expansion and variation through a sub-module stack.
  • Must understand NMC/NMCA chemistry with an understanding of thermal propagation.

The standard pay range for this role is $165,000 - 185,000K annually. This range is specific to Colorado and California and may not be applicable in other locations.
