ABOUT THE POSITION:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Analyst to join our R&D Operations team. The Senior Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting the strategic and operational goals of the Research & Development (R&D) department. This role involves analyzing complex data, improving operational efficiency, and providing actionable insights to drive innovation and productivity within the R&D function.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Reporting
· Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets to support R&D decision-making processes.
· Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide insights into R&D performance metrics, project status, and resource utilization.
· Present data-driven recommendations to senior management to influence strategic planning and operational improvements.
Operational Efficiency
· Identify opportunities for improving R&D processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce time-to-market.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and best practices.
· Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented changes and suggest further enhancements.
Project Management Support
· Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of R&D initiatives to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
· Provide analytical support for initiatives prioritization, resource allocation, and risk management.
· Track project milestones and deliverables, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
Resource Management
· Analyze resource needs and utilization within the R&D department to optimize staffing and equipment usage.
· Support the development of resource plans and forecasts to ensure adequate resources are available for current and future projects.
· Collaborate with HR and other departments to address resource gaps and ensure optimal team performance.
Financial Analysis
· Conduct financial analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost management within R&D operations.
· Monitor R&D expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality and timelines.
· Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management.
Strategic Planning
· Contribute to the development and execution of the R&D strategy by providing insights based on data analysis and industry trends.
· Support strategic initiatives and special projects aimed at advancing the R&D function and achieving organizational goals.
· Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in R&D operations and incorporate relevant insights into planning processes.
Compliance and Documentation
· Ensure all R&D operations comply with internal policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of processes, procedures, and project details.
Assist in preparing for audits and regulatory reviews as needed.
What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence?
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Science, Business Administration). A master’s degree or higher is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 6+ years of experience in R&D operations, data analysis, project management, or a related role. Experience in a senior or leadership capacity is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Lean Six Sigma).
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment. Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
