This position will be within the Fluence Digital business unit. Fluence Digital’s IQ platform uses artificial intelligence, advanced price forecasting, portfolio optimization and market bidding to ensure energy storage and flexible generation assets are optimally participating in wholesale electricity markets.
We are looking for a Testfield technician (m/f/d), with unlimited contract and in full time onsite in Erlangen.
Your tasks:
· define and carry out the system tests in the electrical test field. This includes hardware and software tests, electrical measurements and manual tests on high-voltage inverter systems.
· work with people from hardware and software development as well as quality assurance department
· engineer and install changes and upgrades to the testfield like new components (control cabinets, battery cabinets, this includes changes in cable routes and junction boxes)
· keep track of changes and update the as-build documentation thoroughly
· perform periodic inspections and document them accoordingly
· monitor and check the existing measuring equipment and tools, replace them if necessary and monitor the valid calibrations and DGUV3 test intervals
· help to implement the test field processes
Your skills:
· Completed vocational training in engineering (skilled worker certificate) and preferably completed bacherlor or master in the field of electrical engineering, energy technology, mechatronics or a comparable qualification.
· Many years of experience in the planning and installation of energy systems and their commissioning
· Relevant knowledge in the area of switchgear for low and medium voltage and are ready to be trained to be authorized to switch them on a company-specific basis.
· A valid SCC certificate and are ready to be trained as an SFAO for our company in the area of the test field and take part in the corresponding further training measures.
· You are ready to be trained as a “working-under-voltage” specialist and take part in the necessary refresher courses to acquire the qualification
· Good knowledge of the standards and regulations of the VDE, IEC, IEEE as safety relevant regulations as DGUV and TRBS
· In addition to your outstanding professional qualifications and knowledge, you convince with initiative, constructive criticism, collegiality, decision-making ability, result orientation and a high level of quality awareness
· Professional reporting and excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
· Very good German skills and good English as well as occasional willingness to travel
