As the Site Director of IT Infrastructure and Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of IT infrastructure and operations to support our India and APAC locations, including networking, printers, physical access controls, and on-site IT support. Additionally, you will be the local manager of the 24x7 service desk, manage vendor relationships, negotiate major software licensing agreements, and maintain ongoing communications with local executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and security across all physical locations.
  • Networking and Connectivity: Oversee network infrastructure and connectivity solutions, including LAN/WAN, VPN, and wireless networks, to support seamless communication and collaboration.
  • On-Site IT Support: Coordinate and oversee on-site IT support services, including desktop support, conference room and AV equipment support, hardware maintenance, and troubleshooting, to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  • Service Desk Operations: Locally manage the 24x7 service desk team to provide timely and effective support for all IT-related issues and inquiries, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and resolution.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, including contract negotiations, performance monitoring, and vendor selection for new initiatives.
  • Software Licensing Negotiations: Negotiate and manage major software licensing agreements with vendors to optimize costs, ensure compliance, and support business objectives.
  • Executive Communication: Maintain ongoing communication with local executive leadership to provide updates on IT initiatives, address concerns, and align IT strategy with business goals.

What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence?

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Strong technical background in networking, systems administration, and cloud computing, with experience managing SaaS-based systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading and developing high-performing IT teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs
