Warranty Administrator, Bangalore, India
About Position:
This person will manage the warranty claims and fleet data. The role will be responsible for tracking warranty claims with customer and suppliers, ensuring data accuracy and driving supplier recoveries, and maintaining fleet data, service contract terms and warranty terms in system.
Roles and responsibilities
-Maintain data for all warranty claims and prepare monthly/yearly reports on specific warranty KPIs.
-Maintain robust performance metrics dashboard and streamline data intake process from various sources.
-Develop and oversee warranty claim process, and implement improvement plans to achieve efficiency and data accuracy goals.
-Internal point of contact for clarification of manufacturers’/service agreement warranties to field service engineers for warranty claim validation.
-Work closely with internal stakeholders i.e. Filed service, Finance, and Procurement, and facilitate warranty process clarity.
-Collaborate with reliability team perform failure rate analysis based on actual failure rates.
-Identify trends in warranty claim and provide input to Sustaining Engineering team to develop corrective actions.
-Streamline customer and insurer warranty task reporting, keep track of limit of liabilities and deductible.
-Perform cost analysis for claimable cost vs actual cost for warranty events.
-Ensure completeness of service contracts data in salesforce/ERP system.
-Help legal team with warranty claim/defect technical information to submit warranty claims to suppliers.
Preferred Education and Skills
-A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering/mechanical Engineer/Electronics & Communication.
-5-8 years of experience in warranty administration and management.
-Good knowledge of assurance and extended warranties and able to understand commercial contracts.
-Understanding of product performance insurance, and experience in handling insurance claims.
-Data analytics skills.
-Flexibility in working hours.
