ABOUT THE POSITION:
Fluence is searching for an Intern in Competitiveness to support and complement the efforts of the Director of Competitiveness in achieving growth and a positive margin impact for Fluence. This role operates under the guidance of the Director of Competitiveness and will support the diverse efforts of the Competitiveness team. This reaches from interpretation of market trends to definition and coordination of measures to enhance Competitiveness.
This individual should be self-driven and able to work independently on tasks within a defined scope. This position is ideal for a diligent, structured, and self-reliant Intern who excels in thinking conceptionally, managing multiple tasks at the same time, and can communicate efficiently.
You will be able to actively contribute to enhancing Fluence’s competitiveness efforts with a focus on differentiating Fluence and improving costs.
After a successful internship we are open to discuss options for a further engagement as a working student or for the conduction of a master thesis.
Reporting to the Director of Competitiveness, the Intern in Competitiveness will gain the responsibilities to:
Collaborate with and, when required, independently execute defined tasks set by the Director of Competitiveness across global functions and regions.
Independently manage improvement measures for an enhanced implementation and tracking of Competitiveness measures throughout the whole organization.
Support consolidation of competitive situation of Fluence with regards to ongoing initiatives and projection of future competitiveness.
Provide regular and autonomous updates on the status of ongoing tasks to the Competitiveness Team and the Director of Competitiveness.
Assist the preparation of high-level executive leadership meetings, ensuring strategies and updates align with ongoing visions for Competitiveness.
What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence?
Finished undergraduate degree, preferably in the field of business, electrical engineering or energy with strong track record.
Prior professional experience in a start-up, in consulting, or in a corporate company, preferably in the field of energy.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capacity to provide regular and autonomous updates.
Comfort and experience in working in a global context.
Eager to be part of a fast-growing company in a rapidly developing part of the power sector.
Entrepreneurial drive for getting things done and a “whatever it takes” attitude. Exhibit a forward leaning posture, high ownership, and diligence.
