What does a Product Lifecycle Management/Advanced Manufacturing Specialist do at Fluence?
- PLM Implementation: Lead the implementation and optimization of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate PLM tools seamlessly into product development processes.
- Advanced Manufacturing: Stay at the forefront of advanced manufacturing technologies and processes. Evaluate, recommend, and implement cutting-edge manufacturing techniques to enhance product quality, efficiency, and time-to-market.
- Collaboration and Integration: Facilitate collaboration between engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams. Ensure seamless integration of PLM systems with other business processes to enhance communication and streamline workflows.
- Process Optimization: Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for optimization. Implement best practices to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality assurance teams to establish and maintain high manufacturing standards. Implement quality control processes to ensure products meet or exceed industry standards.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to employees on PLM tools and advanced manufacturing technologies. Act as a subject matter expert and resource for PLM-related inquiries.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives in PLM and manufacturing processes. Collect and analyze data to identify areas for enhancement and implement solutions.
- Documentation and Compliance: Ensure accurate documentation of manufacturing processes, standards, and compliance requirements. Collaborate with regulatory affairs teams to ensure products adhere to industry regulations and certifications.
What does the ideal candidate look like?
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of [X years] years of experience in PLM implementation and advanced manufacturing in a technology-driven environment.
- Proficiency in PLM software such as Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, or similar platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies, including additive manufacturing, automation, IoT, and Industry 4.0 concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to assess complex manufacturing processes and recommend improvements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Project management experience, including the ability to lead cross-functional projects from conception to completion.
- Certifications in PLM or advanced manufacturing technologies are desirable.
