As a member of the digital transformation team, you will be responsible for working with stakeholders across the company to design and implement the SAP S4 HANA platform. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Global Accounts Payable Process Lead to oversee and optimize the accounts payable function across our organization's global operations. The Global Accounts Payable Process Lead will be responsible for streamlining processes, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and industry standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounts Payable Strategy:
1. Develop and execute a comprehensive global accounts payable strategy, including invoice processing, payment management, vendor relations, and compliance.
Process Optimization:
2. Lead initiatives to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of accounts payable processes worldwide.
Vendor Management:
3. Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and resolving payment issues promptly.
Invoice Processing:
4. Oversee global invoice processing, ensuring invoices are accurately recorded, approved, and paid on time.
Payment Management:
5. Manage payment processes, including electronic funds transfers, check issuance, and other payment methods, in compliance with financial policies and contractual agreements.
Compliance:
6. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, industry standards, and internal policies, including tax and withholding requirements.
Expense Reporting:
7. Supervise the processing of employee expense reports, ensuring timely reimbursement and compliance with expense policies.
Process Automation:
8. Lead efforts to automate accounts payable processes, utilizing technology solutions to reduce manual work and enhance control
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
9. Collaborate with procurement, finance, and other departments to streamline the procure-to-pay process and improve overall operational efficiency.
Reporting:
10. Prepare and present regular accounts payable reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
Vendor Audits:
11. Conduct vendor audits and reviews to ensure compliance with contractual terms and pricing agreements.

What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence?

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; additional certifications such as CPP (Certified Payables Professional) are a plus.
  • Extensive experience in global accounts payable management, including vendor relations, invoice processing, and payment management.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with SAP or similar implementation process and transition is a plus.
