A Supply Chain Architect plays a crucial role in designing, optimizing, and managing the supply chain processes within an organization. Their responsibilities can vary depending on the specific needs and goals of the company, but here are some common roles and responsibilities associated with this role:
Supply Chain Strategy Development:
Develop and refine the overall supply chain strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and increased efficiency.
Supply Chain Design:
Design the end-to-end supply chain network, including sourcing, procurement, production, distribution, and logistics.
Optimize the supply chain to balance cost, service levels, and resilience.
Process Optimization:
Streamline supply chain processes to eliminate waste, reduce lead times, and enhance overall efficiency.
Implement best practices and lean principles to improve operations.
Technology Integration:
Evaluate, select, and implement supply chain management (SCM) software and technologies.
Integrate data analytics, automation, and digital tools to improve visibility and decision-making.
Risk Management:
Identify and assess supply chain risks, including geopolitical, environmental, and operational factors.
Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure business continuity.

What does the ideal candidate bring to Fluence?
- 10+ years experience in Industrial manufacturing, demand management, Logistics, Services parts planning
- Relevant exposure to procurement, engineering, and supply management
- Ability to design, use, and evangelize performance metrics.
- Exposure to Lean/ 6 sigma
- Experience working with cross functional teams with ambiguous requirements.
