What’s the lawyer’s role in this? Our offerings are not only technically complex. They also require challenging contractual and commercial structures and bring with them multiple interfaces between technical, commercial, and legal matters – requiring significant legal talent to manage, align, and finally contract. This role will predominantly support the UK and Ireland delivery team and other Fluence functions with the legal challenges that arise in developing, constructing, procuring and servicing BESS projects . Your office will not be located in a legal ivory tower – you are expected to be a part of the team and add value in close interactions with your peers.

In other words, you will be a lawyer in a broad and customer, contractor and stakeholder facing role, and all of us are responsible for great customer service.

Agile:

The subject matters, technical details and personalities you will be facing in your new role will be numerous and varied.

Our UK office is located in London and we would expect you to communicate, work, cooperate, and enjoy life with your peers a couple of days per week in the office. The exact details will depend on your team. We have some other offices in European countries and abroad and project sites across the UK, Ireland and the rest of the world so occasional travel to these locations and to all other places where the business needs legal eagles should be expected

Most Fluence people wear multiple hats. On any given day you might provide overflow legal support on any topic, from construction and commercial contracting to employment law, privacy, intellectual property, real estate, or simply corporate housekeeping. Nobody at Fluence says “that’s not my job!”
