ABOUT THE POSITION
We are looking for an experienced and value-driven professional to join our sustaining production team. As a Process & Quality Engineer, you will guide Fluence's success by bringing your knowledge and expertise to help us maintain our quality as we grow.
You will be tasked with owning various quality assurance and process engineering activities for the Americas region using our tools, your experience, and a collaborative fun environment.

As a Process & Quality Engineer you will:
•Drive improved product quality by identifying manufacturing issues and developing advanced manufacturing cost-effective solutions to drive continuous improvement.
•Collaborate with contract manufacturers on implementation of new products into production processes at our factories.
•Experienced with quality management systems and have familiarity with safety and environmental standards.
•Develop and revise manufacturing documentation for existing products, including process flows, work instructions, routings, process and product change requests, and other documentation as required.
•Actively support productivity improvement program and resolution of deviation events.
•Support continuous improvement manufacturing engineering activities to achieve and exceed quality targets.
•Support nonconformance management to ensure implementation and effectiveness of corrective and preventative actions.
•Support sustaining operations by creating and implementing Fluence Change Requests.
•Provide quality engineering expertise for products in the various stages from design and development to project execution.
•Collaborate with Product Development Quality Engineers to build various processes and procedures and identifying various quality stage gates and deliverables.
•Assist in product and process related root cause analysis.
•Support the sustaining production team in tracking, reporting, and improvements to production related KPI’s.
•Lead factory visits for customer inspections and audits.
•Participate as an active member of the material review board with our contract manufacturers; dispositioning nonconformances in the factory and driving corrective actions.
•Drive continuous improvements to product factory acceptance testing.
What will the ideal candidate bring to Fluence?
- 5+ years of experience working in an engineering or quality role within a manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience working with teams to drive continuous improvement.
- Highest degree of integrity and management of confidential information.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and best practices.
- Problem solver and result oriented.
- High Attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles.
- Experience tracking, prioritizing and driving multiple concurrent projects in a fast paced, growing company.
- Driven, proactive and can-do attitude. You’re hands-on and want to get things done.
