ABOUT THE POSITION
The primary role of this position is to lead and manage the Global Services Performance team in the group’s efforts to provide advanced analytics, develop and maintain new advanced analytical tools and provide world-class customer reporting for Fluence’s global fleet. The role also requires the Manager to manage schedules, develop the team through training and instill a Fluence culture of ownership and accountability. Manager will also be responsible for communicating with regional stakeholders and external parties including customers.
Team Leadership:
· Lead and manage a team of data analysts, providing guidance, coaching, and support in their professional development.
· Define team goals, establish performance metrics, and ensure timely and accurate delivery of key weekly, monthly, yearly deliverables.
· Able to manage multiple overlapping projects. Manage and resolve scheduling conflicts with key stakeholders. Delegate and manage workload.
Data Analysis and Insights:
· Analyze large datasets from DAS to identify patterns, trends, and correlations relevant to battery energy storage operations and performance.
· Develop models and algorithms to optimize energy storage systems, considering factors such as capacity, efficiency, and performance.
· Provide actionable insights to cross-functional teams, including engineering, and regional management, to drive data-driven decision-making.
Data Visualization and Reporting:
· Design and develop intuitive and visually appealing dashboards, reports, and presentations to effectively communicate complex data insights to internal and external stakeholders.
· Collaborate with business stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop reporting frameworks for tracking and monitoring energy storage system performance.
· Provide functional support for existing reports, dashboards, or other tools.
Data Quality and Governance:
· Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data by implementing and maintaining data quality standards and best practices.
· Establish data governance processes and protocols to ensure compliance with industry regulations and data privacy requirements.
Research and Innovation:
· Stay updated with the latest advancements in battery energy storage technologies in Fluence, data analytics, and industry trends across organizations.
· Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in reporting methodologies, tools, and processes to drive operational excellence.

What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence?

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or a related field.
  • Proven record of successful experience (5+ years) leading high-performance data analytics & Reporting teams, preferably in the battery energy storage industry.
  • Knowledge on ETL process is must.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, SQL, and advanced knowledge of statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms.
  • Expertise in Python scripting and reporting is an added advantage.
  • Experience in data visualization and reporting tools, such as Power BI, or similar.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a high-performing team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively present complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • User Training experience is a plus.
