ABOUT THE POSITION
Collaborate with internal and external groups to ensure that proper definition of quality expectations and that appropriate assurance techniques are used for our product. Coordinate all Quality Engineering functions for a program, serving as project manager to lead efforts at supplier location and establish audit procedures appropriate to program and supplier to ensure alignment to Fluence quality standards. Evaluate and communicate yields of new and existing processes and drive corrective actions multi-functionally with internal and external team members.

  • Fluent in maintaining & developing quality systems such as change control, product sampling, CAPA, audit management, training management, and defect tracking
  • Monitor, document and track product/process non-conformances and audit findings during the production process
  • Drive the CAPA process with key suppliers and/or Contract Manufacturers
  • Responsible for identifying technical issues and performing root cause analysis techniques using 8D principles
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor leading 6S walks and layered process audits
  • Report and support achievement of quality key performance indicators (KPI’s) including FPY, Failure Rates, cost of quality and categorization of failure modes
  • Improve product quality and streamline production by proposing engineering changes to the production process
  • Work together with multiple international teams and engineering departments to improve products
  • Ensure products adhere to design specifications and industry quality standards.

What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence?

  • Bachelor’s degree in related engineering field
  • 7 to 10 years quality and manufacturing experience
  • Experience with RoHS and REACH
  • Knowledge of ISO standards, management of certification
  • Supplier Quality Engineering background
  • Practiced in FMEA, Gage R&R, capability analysis and project management.
  • Continuous improvement, lean, 5S experience
  • Ability to analyze data to draw conclusion, make recommendations and drive change
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, ERP, Quality Management and databases
  • Experience in Six Sigma philosophy
